The Club Integrity Officer

The Welsh Rugby Union work in partnership with UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) to promote and protect clean athletes. To ensure that there is an effective prevention strategy, there is a responsibility for the WRU to provide education, awareness and training for our players and support staff.

We, at Bryncethin RFC, are looking to recruit a Club Integrity Officer who will liaise with the WRU in order to:

  • be required to undertake the ‘train the trainers’ workshop.
  • be required to complete the World Rugby – Keep Rugby Clean online programme.
  • be required to deliver annual education to both Senior and Youth Players.
  • be the Anti-Doping point of contact for the Club.
  • offer support and guidance to the club and players around anti-doping matters.
  • assist the club to implement the WRU’s Anti-Doping Strategy by delivering education at club level (senior and youth).
  • be responsible for following the WRU Anti-Doping Rules.
  • ensure that Attendance Registers are completed for delivered sessions and forwarded to the WRU for filing.
  • will report any allegations or suspicions of doping to the relevant authorities.
  • promote anti-doping best practice guidance within the club
  • ensure that everyone is aware of what training is available and work with the club management committee to ensure that training requirements are met.
  • ensure confidentiality is maintained in relation to Anti-Doping Violations.
  • where appropriate brief the club’s management committee on any anti-doping issues at the club
  • be the key information link between the Club and WRU regarding anti-doping matters.
