If you read last seasons match report on this fixture, its starts with Bryncethin kicks off, the ball goes to the number 13 who runs the length of the pitch to score a try.
Today Bryncethin entertained Cefn Coed, Bryncethin kicked off, the ball went to the number 13 who ran the length of the pitch to score a try, talk about lightening striking twice. With a change of game plan Bryncethin hit top gear with Tom B starting off the scoring, Shortly afterwards Jack on his return and Kieran both scored excellent Tries and they both worked excellent as a team. Jack once again showed what he can do with a good run to score his 2nd try. The rejuvenated Josh then got in on the action as he showed his pace to score. Bryncethin missed a few tackles which allowed Cefn to score 2 converted tries. Greg was next to open his account with a try and then 2 identical tries from Tom P saw him burst through the defense to score under the posts. Bryncethin were not finished and a powerful run from Lewis saw him crash over, some excellent feet from Tom B saw him bag his 2nd try. Try of the match was then scored by Greg who beat 3 defenders, showed a forth the outside before cutting back in and sprinting clear to score. Tom P and Liam came of the bench to form the most unlikely 9 and 10 partnership ever, Greg had the final word of the game when he score his 4th try. Overall a very good performance, the more these boys play together the better they are becoming and with players like Connor, Lewis and Kieran who are new to the team things are looking very good for us. Excellent support from the parents as always. A special mention goes to David Bayliss who is fast becoming one of the best referees to come out of Bryncethin, the man has the patience of a saint. Thank you to Mal for setting up the field for us.
Man of the match to day was Greg, his confidence is growing with every game he plays, and his 4 tries today shows how deadly he is with ball in hand.
