Bryncethin U14's played Beddau in perfect conditions for running rugby. Beddau showed their intenet from the off and brought a physicality that our team rarely see's, but credit to the boys they fronted up across the park . The 1st try was scored by Liam off a line out call to crash over to score, Tom B added a 2nd shortly after with his chip over the defense saw him kick th eball on and catch to score a wonderful solo effort. Credit to Beddau they never gave up and scored a try after some good passing. Bryncethin started to turn the screw with Nathan winning a penalty 10 mtrs from the try line which Liam took and some fancy footwork saw him cross for his 2nd try. The 2nd half started with the same intensity as the 1st and more pressure from the team saw Alix score after breaking some tackles. Tom P, Greg and Alix each putting in huge tackles saw Bryncethin defend their line and with Iwan T quickly over the ball winning a penalty which gave us the chance to clear our lines. More attacking play from Bryncethin and some lovely passing saw Ben cross the line for his 1st try in the 1st game for the team. To cap an outstanding perfromance Tom P weaved in the out to crash over the line, Billy kicking 2 conversions on the day. All in all a good day at the office with the boys not giving an inch, excellent defensive effort from everyone and good attacking options across the pitch. Well done lads a top effort against a very good team. MOTM was captain Tom P, excellent all game, never took his foot off the gas, and fast becoming the complete player.
