Well the season is now about to start, and the club is buzzing with excitement. From the Mini section, through to the Seniors, all teams are now relishing their first Kick-offs of the 2018-19 season.
First to enter the playing arena are the Seniors who take on our friends from Crynant at home. This is an important match against a team that we beat twice in last year's campaign, though the second match was a very tight affair. Back in the favourite Cherry and White hoops, the boys know that a good start here means we can take on Cefn Cribbwr next week with plenty of confidence. If you have the opportunity, please come and cheer on our showcase team. Having family, friends and club mates as their 16th man really means a lot to the squad. Kick-off is 2:30 and the game is at Bryncethin.
The Youth, our next generation of senior players in waiting, play away to Cwmavon at the same time as the Seniors. This year the young guns look to improve on last year's showing, in a new look season. Up until Christmas they play matches against local sides, which determines what competitions they enter from Jan to the end of the season. Let's get behind the squad as they push for glory in this revamped format.
On Sunday the U9, 11 and 16s take up the action in their first round of matches. We are unsure presently who they are taking on, but we know they will be putting in every effort to be the best teams on the fields.
Can we just remind everyone who supports Bryncethin RFC teams, that there is a code of cunduct that everyone associated with the club should adhere to. Please do not shout abuse about anybody. Abuse and bullying will not be tolerated and anyone found to be doing so will be politely asked to leave the ground. Full code of conduct can be found here.
Lastly, we hope you all enjoy the ensuing season, whether playing, staff, parent or supporter. Good luck to all of our players, the Club is proud of all of you.
